    Charisma and Amy's Mental state

     http://www.mrpaparazzi.com/post/3172/The-Amy-Winehouse-Show.aspx

This video is the the most revealing of our girl Amy I've seen. She is truly a teenager living in a grown woman's body. Look how she plays with the paps; One second she's chummy and posing, trading banter, playfully threating to hit them, and the next she's running to get away from them, then cursing them out. Very manipulative behavior.

The way she manipulates is facinating. She manages to keep them at bay, and they eat right out of her hand. She exibits near total control, except, she can't get them to go away when she tires of them. It was hilarious when she was dealing with them & then out of the blue, just goes over to see about those cats. Without missing a beat she goes right back in and continues the lovefest. I smiled through the whole thing. How can you not love that kind of starpower? I have no reason to think she acts much differently in personal relationships. She likely runs the show like that with most people.

This really made me think of something important too. We know how fully she bares her soul in her songs. I suspect many of those songs hold a key to her current mental state. Look how she dominates the people around her, and think for example about the song "Stonger Than Me":

"You should be stonger than me....Don't you know you're supposed to be the man, I pale in comparison to who you think I am...
Why'd you always put me in control? All I need is for my man to live up to his role."

I think this is a big key to the Blake thing. He may be one of the few guys that just didn't fawn over her and take her crap. She doesn't want that kind of guy. he saw her vunerabilities ("I Pale in comparison"), and used them to control her. Despite he enormous talent, she knows she's a screw up, and dislikes herself for it. The girl has zero respect for people that she can walk over, but fall sto peices like a little girl when somebody stands up to her.

I think this extends to the fan base as well. Amy wants and needs a firm hand. Although its easy to get enamered by her charisma, if she gets wind of us fawning, "oh you were fantastic" when she stumbles though a perfomance high, missing lyrics and generally not living up to what we know she's capable of, we're doing her a disservice, enablers. (Not to revive a dead debate, but ahem, Glastenbury). Enabling troubled people never helps them.

I know many will dissagree with this and feel she can do no wrong performance wise. So, all I'm saying is, lets not take her crap, and she'll respect the fans a lot more, and perhaps be more liable to get right. I've found other keys in her songs, a common theme runs through them. She doesn't have a real high opinion of herself, hence, the cutting and all that.

Well said that is exactly the point I am trying to get accross, Amy is not in a good place at the moment, I also think her spokesperson needs to take better control, I know she is looking to protect her professionally but please credit us with a bit of common sense always putting a positive spin on something, I'd rather the spokesperson said nothing especially after the Lisbon concert how anyone could say that was a good performance?

I think Amy needs control in her life, her dad is trying but I don't think he is the person to do it, bless him, he must be going through hell.  She needs to get away and complete some sort of programme away from the media but Amy has to want to do it and at the moment unfortunately she doesn't.

Great posts, you two!  It's too late for her father to do anything with her, the damage took years to occur and it will take years to undo the damage.  God love Mr. Winehouse, recent pics show an exhausted man.  Rehab isn't the quick fix or ultimate cure.  As we speak, the record company placed her on 'lockdown' within her own house.  All in good, but as JayneW stated, the cure is within Amy.  She's as codependent on the paparazzi as she is to Blake.

Re: Charisma and Amy's Mental state

wow you guys are good writers, haha, im only fourteen so mine probably won't be as good as yours. hahah :S
okay i think amy has very low self esteem, and thats the reason she gets drunk and does drugs before going on stage or going out, she does it so she can become more outgoing and likeable.
and maybe amy is so worried about going on stage sober, because atleast when she is drunk she can run around and talk about silly things, and people will laugh, if she is performing badly she knows she can just fool around.
but she wouldn't really have the confidence to do that when sober, and she would be scared people will boo,
for instance at glastonbury she got very drunk in me and mr jones and rehab, so she thought, well the audience ain't going to be too impressed with my singing so why don't i go down and act stupid so then they will no boo coz they get to see me up close!
hahh i dono...maybe she can't think that when she is drunk, but maybe before when she is sober she has that as a back up plan...
i think amy thinks she isn't worth being healthy and sober, people are always putting her down or paying her out.
i live in australia and everytime i turn on entertainment news they are always calling her a crack wh0re or something horrible.
maybe she is scared she won't be famous when she is sober, because you do get more media attention when you are doing reckless things
but i think the MAIN reason is that, she is worried blake won't like her if she doesn't do drugs.
i dont know if blake is ready to give up drugs, and if amy won't do drugs with him, he may think "whats the point of being with her if she's not going to do drugs with me".
i hope blake isn't that bad of a person, but from what i have heard, i dont like him.
but i'm still questioning wondering if amy really does want to get better, i think she sort of thinks its a bit of a game, i think she does love the attention, its really hard to tell.
i wish amy could go on her computer and write replys here, haha.
i just read the rolling stone article she did in june, and she was on her laptop, so why can't she just come on her !
    maybe she does....
this doesn't really have to do with the topic.
    but i dono.
    okay thanks !

Gredh, honey, you have more sense than folk 3x your age.  Keep using that logic, and keep on doing what you're doing.  It's working, you have a lot of wisdom for someone so young.

Re: Charisma and Amy's Mental state

What I can't figure out is how we ,as the members of her official forum, can actually break though to affect anything. I'm pretty confident that she doesn't pay any attention to this forum, so it may just be empty talk and wish-full thinking. So how do we let her know when we are proud of, or displeased at anything? I hope somebody has some good ideas on that other than a website. Maybe we can somehow get a little press coverage ourselves. Anybody have an idea how? What might get the attention of the same press that she reads about herself all the time.

If she saw half the things that are said about her here both in praise and criticism, at least she'd have a better sense of how she's affecting the people who care about her and her career. Except she'd probably through her computer out the window in a fit if she saw some of the nasty things we say about her dear Blakey (*Barf!). I digressZip it!

I'll make a damn fool out of myself to save this amazing person.

AJLuvs Amy the best thing the fans can do in continue to post HONEST opinions/views of Amy, not rose tinted views that to be honest doesn't do anyone any good, it's always best to hear the truth good or bad.  She knows deep down what her actions are doing, the problem is at the moment she doesn't want to change.  I am sure the press read fan forums, I have quite often read quotes in articles the press have written stating what fans think.

Amy if nothing else is an honest person an attribute I really love about her, and the best any fan can do is to return that honesty.

Gredh you continue to post, your rock!

so i don't think amy saw this forum ever.maybe she know that it excist but i don't think she spent time with it. maybe if she read what people here said about blake she'd be angry of course:P but i think the best thing a fan could ever do is ,to be honest. if amy does bad things we have to notice that, and not to ignore because it hurts ourselves.we all support amy what ever will happen,of course, but she weaknesses like everybody.she's just a human people.i think the media often forget this!

Amy's mental state >> Drugs and monsters

After the Ketamine coma last August, Amy Winehouse has not been able to take care of herself.

Not breathing and going onto a coma -- too much damage left untreated. Despite UCH there was no follow-up.

Amy was brilliant as a kid. Even in 2005 with drug damage she was very bright.

    Now, we hope for survival.

Drugs and monsters like drugBlake and her recent management team have damaged a talent combining Louis Armstrong and Ella.

Take Amy as she is. That is, as she is today. "Every soul is a whole world."

Amy admited that even through rehab she took drugs, herion is not something that you can come off lightly

herion addicts rarely ever become completly clean, before she can get better she has to want to, noone can force her, she has to realise

what happend in rock in rio? was she ill? , because ithink in glastonbury her voice was beautiful,

i also wish there was something as fans we could do, because im almost 100% certain she doesnt come on this lol.

Re: Charisma and Amy's Mental state

she is no better than the rest of us...and she is an ungrateful spoiled brat....and if i were her, i would love the fame so much that i would stay grounded.

look at beyonce..she can sing and stays grounded....ok? she LOVES the spotlight! that would be a loss..but amy can go to hell if she dies.....fame should be given to those who want it....
