I am 48 year old geezer still in search of true rock and roll. (no, it's not '48 year old male seeks....).  Amy, you see, is in a class all of her own - a class peopled by the likes of, Janis Joplin, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix.

Unfortunately, all were taken early due to sex and drugs and rock 'n roll.  It would be a great pity if Amy proves the latest victim of beauty and beautiful music made translucent by the nearness of death itself.

I never saw a person more beautiful than her.  Her aura comes straight out of the chapel of rest.  No-one dare touch her in case her life collapses in a cloud of dust.

For some ancient reason, it might be the case that  Amy disintegrates like all of those rock and roll heroes who lived like gods with no heed for mere mortality.

The dilemma that I fear most about Amy would be, 'how might she choose between living and dying?' in the knowledge that the kind of circumstances people often die in, are in Amy's case a pre-requisite for sublime art.  Our dilemma is, to let her go... to abandon this fascinating lifestyle that has turned her into a kind of genius but live to love again and take her art further, or, continue to chronicle her own deathwish leading, inevitably to the conclusion.

 Well, you "young men" are not the only guys in the over "40" group who appreciate Amy. I am 67, yes, 67 years old and I have never seen and heard any female artist that moves me like Amy does. I have her Live In London DVD that I watch every week and never tire of it. I enjoy the concert from start to end the same each time if not more.

Not only is it a joy to hear and watch her sing, but I also enjoy her banter with the audience. Amy is one very unique singer not afraid to be herself, aside from her unique style of singing. What other singer would talk about a tooth lost, and show the missing spot, while doing a concert?  And how about those little giggles when some guy shouts out Amy, I love you.

I am very thankful to have lived to see and hear Amy Winehouse sing. I hope she doesn't go the way of Janis, Jim, Jimi, and the others, but I know she is a human being and humans do make mistakes. Hopefully, and I mean this sincerely, Amy will get her life straightened out.

The subject here is Why Amy is so beautiful, well, I think she is beautiful in many ways. I love to look at her, hear her sing, hear her speak, watch her react, and the light of beauty shines into my eyes and ears.

What a wonderful moment it would be to open the door and see Amy standing on the front porch. Imagine that, and then imagine Amy coming inside and singing Tears Dry On Their Own. 

Kind of disappointing to hear Amy wants to get back with Blake, I mean, I was hoping Amy and I...

I think Amy is so beautiful because she is purely herself. Even her lyrics are true. That's what I feel. Somebody that hasn't got anything to hide. She says and sings what she feels and we just like her. She's got a special character and a great sense of humor, and she is sincere. Rare qualities nowadays, specially when we talk about stars.

She is very young. Many people, not only famous, go through experiences like this in their lives, many people I believe, I have been one of them, and it doesn't mean it will last forever. I think she is a quite strong girl, much stronger than we all may think, and very passionate. I do not believe in her desintegration at all. I truly believe in her and in all her good qualities. She will win the battle and emerge so strong that everybody will be astonished.

Mainly, I write stuff like this hoping to save the life of a brightly shining star like Amy. With a grandiose scheme of saving her skin while reading our posts on her site.  There is a certain element of the taxidermist or insect collector hoping to preserve one of those 'looks' of Amy in a jamjar or specimen casement. She makes a living out of her fans and admirers, it's her pit and she will do exactly what she needs to do about it.  I'm not so sure that she represents the same balls as Hendrix, Morrison, Monroe or Joplin. She wouldn't give a *** anyway.
