    london apollo gig

I went to see Amy Winehouse in feb at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, she sang extremely well, was prompt and had a good raport with the audience. The whole evening was fantastic and I decided I must go again.I went to see Amy Whinehouse last night at The Apollo London, she was late, drunk, stumbling, forgot words and unable to play guitar or sing. I decided to leave early before memory of this gig overshone that of Cambridge. I understand people have problems in their lives, but if it affects their work then it is time for a break. I shall not be spending any more of my time or money on Amy Whinehouse or buy a ticket for a band managed by Universal Island Records. I feel this company let down Amy Whinehouse, her band and her audience by allowing her to go on when she clearly did not want to be there.

The evening took a turn for the better when a couple of drunk blokes gave their rendition of Rehab and Back to Black. At least they sang in tune, could stand and didnt charge me thirty quid. Thanks guys!

The two guy's from Manchester on the tube were great fun.  Just what a bunch of disgruntled Winehouse fans needed after having to watch part of a bitterly disappointing performance from Amy.

How could her management team let her out on stage in her condition?  Amy could hardly stand yet alone sing, she staggered around the stage putting more effort into arranging her hair piece than her songs and her audience.  I thought she would fall over, she's so frail.  She didn't interact with the audience or even her band, which were the stars of last night's show.  I've never left a gig early but by reading the other reviews I made the correct decision to leave during Back to Black, least I didn't have to que for my coat!!!

Amy was fanstatic when I saw her in Cambridge last February, one of the best gigs I've been to.  We all bought our tickets in good faith for last night's gig but Amy showed a total lack of respect for her fans, the band but most importantly, her self!!
