Amy, you have a great voice along with a unique look and personality. Please know that there are those of us who love and support you through these difficult times. I hope that everything works out well for you and look forward to the day that you perform in the States again. Next time you perform in New York, you can bet that I'll be there. Take care of yourself, Amy, and be strong.

    Loss and Gain

    WHEN I compare
What I have lost with what I have gained,
What I have missed with what attained,
Little room do I find for pride.

    I am aware
    How many days have been idly spent;
How like an arrow the good intent
Has fallen short or been turned aside.

    But who shall dare
To measure loss and gain in this wise?
    Defeat may be victory in disguise;
The lowest ebb is the turn of the tide.

What a fantastically haunting voice Amy has--I haven't been able to get it out of my head since I first heard her sing. What a gift!  I hope she can overcome her current obstacles and get on a healthier track so she can let her talent shinel  We've lost so many ingenious artists to uncontrollable addictions.  Best Wishes, Amy.

Hang in there girl. No one can steer your journey. No one can know what your demons are. Been there done that just hang on and take care of yourself the best you can. F*^*^$(@&#(@ all those around you. Maybe sometimes singing in a smoky bar where no one knows your name can look real good in times like these. Just hang in there.

    "A Big Hunk of Love"

Wishing Amy all the best in her rehab and hope she still manages to have a wonderful Christmas time with her family and friends.  The New Year is bound to be incredible for a talent such as her but I just wanted to log on to offer her my full moral support during her recent troubles as it is very upsetting to think of her having a difficult time right now.

And I just wish she would have a crack at the Elvis song above too.  I'm sure she would do it proud.

    Merry Christmas!!!

Whatever you're going thru, remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. You control your destiny. Don't crash.Let your light shine through. Your voice is a-m-a-z-i-n-g and you are gorgeous. Seek new friends and change your surroundings before it's too late.

    Love ya

There are more people with you love than you can imagine. I hope on hope that you see that light at the end of the tunnel soon. Perhaps you can get away for a short while to the sun in Israel or to Bryan Adams' s place or wherever: a short change of environment may help. Please hang on in there. Love....

    Amy,

I write you tonight selfishly.  I have heard of some troubles that you are going through and it makes me wonder!  You have that Heavenly rare soul-full Jazz/Bluesy gift that some of the greatest of all time had and have (Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn Jim Morison, and Janis Joplin, Martha Reeves, Aretha   ).  The music of today is like the blackest night without a star to light it up.  That real deep soul has been missed for some time but then wait a minute miracle you came along.  You are the star that shines so brightly to again light that dark night sky.  You and you great band have brought back a sound that all real music lovers selfishly want and need.  I have had, as all of us have had some very difficult times.  I feel that all things good and or bad happen for a reason in our lives but sometimes it is tough to get through them.  I think that sometimes we all just need to stop and take a look around to realize how bad it could be and then be thankful for how good we have it if we are that fortunate.  Tonight we had the real pleasure of watching your DVD performance and that brought my wife and me some real joy.  I am telling you this because we discovered about 3 months ago that my wife has cancer and sense then, life seemed to become just a constant shade of grayness, it has put us in a real funk.  So thank you for the great music it did but some light in that dark sky.  Please get well soon.

I don't expect anyone to ever see this, but

Amy, this was written many years ago for my niece,

but it is a fitting gift to you, for what you have given me, and all those who care for you.

    Bryndis' Song

    There is a place....

a magic corner of the universe

    where our winged friends

    come to bathe

and I can feel you watching

with a smile on your tiny face

    for it was you

    who were chosen

to guide them on Your wings

    when Their time comes

    There is a place....

    for you to know about

where you can come and see

that you will never be forgotten

    by all those here

    who love you so dearly

so, sweet angel of the winged ones,

    forget not

    that you are still needed

    and forever loved

    There is a place....

    a special rendezvous

for you and our winged friends

    together you fly

    together you play

    I know that you smile

    toward this special task

that has been laid before you

so play, sweet angel of the winged ones,

    play to your hearts content

    There is a place....

    that holds so many secrets

    many of which you know

for I believe that all souls are mature

and from you I have learned

    some of those secrets

so, sweet angel of the winged ones,

    forget not

    that you are still needed

    and forever loved

I'm a mother of 4 who was once a performer, have never found a performer like Amy.  The whole image is amazing. Always loved the 60's style so good to bring it back. She has done it to perfection, so what if she wants to enjoy things a bit, i did at her age. bless her she is the most real star we can focus on.

     Amy,

I hope to hear less from you for some time in 2008. And I pray that, one day, unexpectedly, as I'm listening to the radio, I'll hear one of your new songs.

    Take care

Amy, they're not going to do it for you

Amy, I've been there. In 1987 when I was 32 the wheels fell off and I ended up in rehab.. after being very cocky and saying "no, no, no" for years..

And I've been clean and sober since.

As the star nobody around you is going to push you in that direction..because it's not in their best interest (in their short-term selfish minds). They need the income.. and want to feed off the fame.

Same thing happened to another outrageously talented artist in the 70's - Elvis. All his people knew what he was doing with all the drugs, and they watched as he slid into a death grip he couldn't free himself from.

And only then did they talk about how they should have...

So do it for yourself, do it for your fans, do it for your husband, do it for your dad, whoever is your motivation to get started. And hopefully along the way you'll start loving yourself enough to want to keep going.

    God bless you

    Craig

    Hiya,Amy!!

I agree that you have to do things for yourself, plus you´re lucky you have caring parents that are willing to help you! I´ve never had a drug or drinks problem because I wouln´t touch the stuff, butI have bone cancer now, terminal, my mum died 2 years ago and my adoptive dad loves me to bits but he´s 82, so there´s not a lot he can do anyway, and a lot of friends get scared away when you´re ill like this...

Just really, go home for Christmas, ditch the hangers-on and bad friends, get yourself cleaned out for good and enjoy life, because it is a precious thing. I´ve always known about that, but seeing death in the face makes me appreciate it more, and now I enjoy every day I have left, even it the pain is unbearable at times. So be brave, you really can do this before it´s too late, at least you have a life to look forward to!

    Love,

    Aleksandra.
